With spooky season having just flown right on by, first-person psychological horror game Dollhouse from SOEDESCO released on the Nintendo Switch just before Halloween came and went! Alongside the actual release, a brand-new trailer was also presented to celebrate the launch on both Nintendo and the Epic Games Store.

This absolutely haunting game draws you into the mysterious atmosphere of film noir, while also including interesting elements to mesmerize players.

In the single-player story mode, players assume the identity of the mysterious Marie. For a time she was known as “The Greatest Detective in the World”, but now suffers from amnesia and desperately tries to get her memories back. She has to be wary though, because something disturbing and dark is watching her from the shadows.

Delve deep into the mind of Marie, a detective trying to unravel the secrets of her past memory by memory. Use the ‘Focus’ feature to see through the eyes of your pursuer as you try to survive a suspenseful game of cat and mouse.

Some key features of Dollhouse include the following:

  • Escape your pursuer as you decipher the eerie story of your past
  • Customize and upgrade your character with 40+ Abilities and Passives
  • Scan the environment and see through the eyes of your pursuer
  • Investigate procedurally generated maps, no restart is the same
  • Experience the horror with HD Rumble, gyroscope camera and touch screen controls

The Switch-specific features add a whole new level of intrigue, including using the touch screen to navigate the menu, or the HD rumble that synchronizes with the character’s racing heartbeat.

The eerie trailer invokes chills as it showcases the dark environment waiting to be explored as Marie fights for her own memories to return. For anybody interested in purchasing Dollhouse, this nerve-wracking game is available on the Nintendo e-Shop for $29.99, or the Epic Games Store for $19.99.
