They say time flies, but what if it flew so fast your entire life went by in a day? M. Night Shyamalan brings terror to time in his latest suspense thriller, Old. The extended trailer has dropped ahead of the film’s July 23rd release.

Synopsis
: While on a tropical holiday, a family discovers that the secluded beach where they are relaxing for a few hours is somehow causing them to age rapidly … reducing their entire lives into a single day.

M. Night Shyamalan films are hit or miss for me. He has made some films I was captivated by and others left me unimpressed. Old has piqued my interest and I have high hopes. The trailer teases you but leaves enough out that you are unable to make any educated guesses as to the source of the rapid aging. The film appears tense and the cast is strong, so mark this one as a must-see!

Old stars Gael García Bernal (Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle), Vicky Krieps (Phantom Thread), Rufus Sewell (Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle), Ken Leung (Star Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Jupiter Ascending), Abbey Lee (HBO’s Lovecraft Country), Aaron Pierre (Syfy’s Krypton), Alex Wolff (Hereditary), Embeth Davidtz (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Eliza Scanlen (Little Women), Emun Elliott (Star Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens), Kathleen Chalfant (Showtime’s The Affair) and Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit). It was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan and is based on the graphic novel Sandcastle by Pierre Oscar Lévy and Frederik Peeters.
