Arrow Video has announced its pack of new films (and fan favorites) appearing on their subscription-based streaming platform for June 2021. Arrow attempts to give audiences a curated experience, giving fans a chance to explore genres in film and TV that Arrow is famous for.
Leading the June lineup is a selection of short films curated by the creative team behind The Stylist, one of Arrow’s most popular titles. This collection showcases women in horror, both in front of and behind the camera. Among the eight films include Tristan Risk’s Reptile House, Risk’s take on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Alchemia, Ticks, and Connor Sanheinrich’s deeply unsettling Unsafe Spaces.
Joining these gripping shorts are a number of classic titles for horror fans. Chopping Mall is currently available on Arrow’s streaming platform and starts horror icon Barbara Crampton. Also currently available are Kevin Tenney’s Witchboard, Twins of Evil, Werener Herzog’s Nosferatu the Vampyre, The Quiet Earth, Xtro 3, Zombie, and the Daimajin Trilogy: Daimajin, Return of Daimajin, and Wrath of Daimajin.
Arrow will also launch 3 features on June 7: Hellbent, Massacre Mafia Style, and Gone with the Pope. Hellbent follows a bandleader whose career is nose-diving makes a deal with the owner of a bar to sell his soul for success. Massacre Mafia Style features crooner Duke Mitchell as an exiled mafia scion who wants to get back into the family business. And Gone with the Pope, also starring Mitchell, follows a paroled gangster with a most unholy scheme: to kidnap the Pope and charge one dollar from every Catholic in the world as ransom.
June also features an eclectic collection of features including the erotic grindhouse classic Daughters of Darkness, where an ageless Countess and her young female companion seduce a troubled newlywed couple. Also included in this wide-ranging assemblage is George A. Romero and Dario Argento’s Two Evil Eyes, an irresistible double-bill based on the writings of Edgar Allan Poe.
This is only a small taste of the impressive offerings by Arrow for the month of June! Head over to Arrow to start streaming! 30 day free trials are offered to new subscribers! Post free trial, subscriptions are available for $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year.
