In preparation for the release of Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood set for February 4th, 2021, publisher NACON and developer Cyanide have dropped a 6-minute video featuring the first look at gameplay with developer commentary.

Synopsis: Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is an action-RPG set to be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC through the Epic Game Store. It’s also currently available for pre-order on each of these platforms.

This mature game, adapted from the tabletop role-playing game Werewolf: The Apocalypse, has players follow Cahal of the Garou, or werewolves, as he seeks redemption against Endron, a massive oil-producing corporation which is causing environmental damage to the natural world.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood - First Look Gameplay (Developer Commentary)

This 6-minute gameplay trailer introduces players to the combat system, the stealth process, and the transformative abilities Cahal possesses. We watch as Cahal is first introduced to us, along with the transformations.

First, Cahal has his human form, which is best used for “social and environment interactions,” as stated in the trailer. Secondly, the wolf form, which not only traverses the world faster but also is superior in infiltration when necessary. Lastly, we have the Crinos form, a terrifying merge of the two that dodges around quickly, landing attacks perfectly suited for combat.

This trailer truly shows a lot of promise for this game, showing multiple different approaches to some missions you can expect to see in-game. Whether Cahal needs to explore an area while in wolf form to plan ahead, use the Crinos form to his advantage to take out some guards, or even just stay in his human form to gather intel; each of these forms gives the player different gameplay abilities to completely expand the way someone may play the game.

Overall, with less than a month to go until release, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood has set expectations high with this trailer, which you can watch here ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=-mHA6VGRADw&feature=youtu.be ). While it is available for pre-order now, the release date is set for February 4th, 2021.
