The Holiday “spirit” has reached Winchester Mystery House! The infamous abode has launched its “Walk with Spirits” tour. This unique take on the holiday season is an outdoor evening experience that delves into the estate’s supernatural lore with a touch of seasonal spirit. In line with Victorian Christmas custom, guests will revel in ghost stories of the home’s former (and current) residents while ambling along the legendary grounds.

The Winchester Estate will deck its halls inside and out with decor and lights to illuminate the garden paths and add a touch of holiday “spirit” to the family-friendly nighttime experience.

“Once we received word that we would need to pause our indoor mansion tours, again, we enhanced the outdoor Walk With Spirits tour in the style of Victorian storytelling featuring some of the most famous—and infamous—tales surrounding the mysterious estate,” said Walter Magnuson, Winchester Mystery House General Manager. “This tour complements our daytime Sarah Winchester’s Garden Tour by delving into the legends and lore surrounding the House, and provides visitors with a unique opportunity to safely explore the grounds at night.”

Tours will be offered on Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 5pm. Tickets are based on timed entry to account for social distancing requirements and range from $14.99-$24.99. Tour sizes will be limited to those in a visitor’s immediate household and capacity has been reduced. Face masks will be required of employees and guests and additional hand washing and sanitizing stations have been provided throughout the grounds for easy access. Further information regarding COVID safety measures and ticket purchases can be found on Winchester’s website.
