Introducing Mangamo, a new subscription service that offers unlimited access to hundreds of manga titles for just five dollars a month! The service has launched globally on iOS and is available through the app store now. But wait, there’s more! For a limited time, manga fans can take advantage of a two-month free trial, a great way to occupy our collective free time! Exclamations!

What sets Mangamo apart from other services is its adherence to a premium reading experience. The app allows unlimited access, there are no upcharges for further volumes and there is no free to premium model. The Mangamo app is completely ad-free, features high-quality images, and has a customizable interface that allows you to read in the traditional right to left style or by scrolling vertically in a format designed to accommodate mobile users.  “I really enjoy the clean interface. There’s nothing that distracts from the content and browsing is super easy. Viewing manga is also fantastic, and the zoom functions are simple to use,” said Allen Kesinger, Mangamo user. “I’m pleasantly surprised how smooth it all is, offering very little loading time between pressing “Read” to being taken to the manga’s cover page. Some of the other online readers I’ve used had a tendency to chug sometimes.”

I know what you’re thinking– there are tons of less than legal ways to access manga online, and for obvious reason. It can be far too expensive to constantly drop ten to fifteen dollars on new volumes, and it can take a long time for those new chapters to be localized by the creators. Mangamo hopes to bridge that gap in order to give readers a more accessible, complete experience that still supports creators and allows the industry to thrive beyond the current level of rampant piracy.

There are currently 30o titles available through the app, including some that previously haven’t been released in English, with new chapters added daily. Genres range from action and adventure to horror, sci-fi, fantasy, supernatural, kawaii, romance, slice of life, and many more. While I’m by no means an avid manga reader, there’s plenty of horror available on the app including Attack on Titan, Ajin, Parasyte, Mourning Demon, and Horror at Doll’s Village. Between the free trial and the low cost to continue the subscription, Mangamo seems like a  must-have for manga readers.

You can find more information on Mangamo’s website or follow the service on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Happy reading!
