Something BEARy special is coming to Knott’s Berry Farm this January! 2020 marks Knott’s Berry Farm’s 100th year of operation. In honor of this special milestone, Knott’s has a centennial celebration spectacular planned or guests to enjoy all year long. A highlight of this year-long party is the grand opening of a brand new Build-A-Bear workshop! Along with the opening of this fun and funky establishment, comes the return of the iconic Beary Tales ride. The ride has been reimagined and reinvented to have 4D interactive technology but still features characters many love and remember. Bears are taking over the park and the excitement can ‘BEARly’ be contained! The brand new Build-A-Bear is set to open at the end of this month.

Build-A-Bear is a one of a kind experience where kids and adults alike can create customizable stuffed animals from scratch. Every aspect of the furry friend is chosen by the new owner and they are even given a birth certificate to commemorate the fun event. To pay special homage to Knott’s Berry Farm’s Western town of yore theming, the new location will feature special cowboy, cowgirl, and train conductor bears. These bears will be unique to this new location. Build-A-Bear will also feature custom clothing options and limited-edition accessories to match Knott’s ‘Seasons of Fun’ events such as the Peanuts Celebration, Boysenberry Festival, and Knott’s Spooky Farm. A special t-shirt will be available on opening day as an outfit option for these new furry friends.

The new store will be located in the California Marketplace, just outside the park and right behind Virginia’s Gift Shop and Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant. A Build-A-Bear and Knott’s Berry Farm photo opportunity will be set up outside the new location for everyone to come and capture the berry perfect bear selfie and to make a memory they will cherish for years to come. The new workshop is scheduled to open Tuesday, January 28, 2020.
