We are so very excited that Drunken Devil returns again this October with a brand new event: Night of 1,000 Devils.

While their events in the past have been based on themes or holidays, this soiree will shine a light on specific characters that make up the Drunken Devil universe.

“As the company expands, I am excited to begin introducing characters into our universe,” explains Matt Dorado, creator and executive producer of Drunken Devil. “These characters are vastly different, spanning different countries and time periods. One thing, however, connects them: they’ve all sold their souls to the Drunken Devil, and are now indebted to the boozy Prince of Darkness.”

For Night of 1,000 Devils, Dorado returns to a character that holds a special place in his heart: Damian Bloodworth. You see, BEFORE he was known as the master of horror-infused nightlife in LA, Dorado opened his first, public haunted attraction, The Nightmare House, in Santa Barbara back in 2013, where Damian Bloodworth was the leader of a deranged, backwoods, cannibalistic cult. Now, Damian has become a Los Angeles nightcrawler whose vices include cocaine, champagne, and nocturnal, underground occult activities.

“When I was thinking about what to do for Halloween this year, my mind instantly jumped back to my first ever haunt creation: Damian Bloodworth,” says Dorado. “In a stark contrast to his first incarnation, which was a savage, blue-collared killer, Damian is now a sharply dressed, suave, and sinister Los Angeles socialite. He’s a drug addict, serial killer, and the leader of the 1,000 Devils.”

In the new mythology, the 1,000 Devils is a small, sadistic cult, created by Damian after he met the Drunken Devil in limbo after a drug overdose. In exchange for survival, Damian gave up his mortal soul, and is now forced to offer an innocent victim as a ritual sacrifice, once a year, on the Night of 1,000 Devils.

Inspired by the suspense-riddled ambiance and aesthetic of Alfred Hitchcock films of the early 1960’s (including atmospheric nods to Bernard Herrmann and Saul Bass), and combining elements of dark surrealism and vintage Halloween imagery, Night of 1,000 Devils will see the audience arriving at Damian Bloodworth’s annual Halloween fete at an undisclosed location. Upon further investigation, guests will discover an insidious narrative is underway, and that one of them may be in grave danger.

“While the story is moving forward, there will be also be scenic pieces, hidden props, and characters with certain agendas, creating a surreal sense of dread,” says Dorado. “At this Halloween party, nothing is what it seems.”

Much like past events, the party will be equal parts cabaret, immersive theatre, and terror-tinged soiree. There will be an open bar, featuring specially crafted cocktails, as well as beer and wine. And of course, what would a Drunken Devil event be without burlesque by Scarlette Fox, Olivia Bellafontaine, Lily Faye, and, new to the Drunken Devil stage, Heather Horror [Lost Angels] and international superstar, Miss Miranda [New Orleans Burlesque Festival, House of Red Velvet], along with other surprise performances.

Magician Jimmy H will once again return to mystify guests, along with a host of fortune tellers and tarot card readers. To end the night, dublab DJ Dirty Dave will close the evening with a set of dark disco.
This intimate soiree is open to ONLY 100 guests. Black formal attire is required. This event is strictly 21+ and will require guests to sign a waiver of consent prior to entry. Tickets for this event are $100. Private location will be revealed in the days leading up to the event.
