Burried deep in the depths of the Korvatunturi mountains, 486 metres deep in fact, lies the closest ever guarded secret of Christmas. In this horror/fantasy/adventure tale from Jalmari Helander we get marvelously entertaining  story about the origins of Santa Claus and again, his true identity. Fast paced Finnish import is remarkable in that it never winks at itself, always playing it straight, like a yuletide Indiana Jones story. Which isn’t to say that it isn’t funny. The deadpan humor plays well against the moments of gore and suspense. Open this one up if you haven’t seen it yet.

The time has come to dig it up! This Christmas everyone will believe in Santa Claus.
