What better way to celebrate the Queen of Halloween than to summon all of her darkest dames? On Saturday, October 15th, Knott’s Scary Farm hosted a competition to find the BEST Elvira doppelgänger. After the night’s first performance of Elvira’s “Danse Macabre,” show, dozens of women (and men) came onstage to compete for the title of Best Elvira Look-A-Like.

Each and every contestant strutted on stage in their darkest drab, their heightened hair, and their “biggest pumpkins,” all in hopes of being crowned Best Elvira Look-A-Like. During their moment in the spotlight, each Elvira look-a-like was asked to showcase their look while performing their best Elvira impression. Laughs were had, cheers were heard, and everyone had a fabulous time.

Judged by three of Knott’s Scary Farms iconic characters, including the infamous Green Witch, only three contestants would be named 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Best Elivra Look-A-Like. In third place came Mistress Azrael, the “Demon Darling of Drag,” who surprised the audience with her scandalicious wardrobe change on stage. In second came Danielle Bradford, a long-time devoted fan of Elvira and professional Elvira impersonator. Sherry Berg, who calls herself “The Jewish Elvira,” took the cake with her hilarious shalom-filled spin on the classic horror icon, and was named Best Elvira Look-A-Like. Her winnings included a personalized-signed copy of Elvira’s newest “coffin-table” book, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.

Although only three of the look-a-likes were recognized for their frightfully fabulous fashion, all of the contestants were dressed to impress that night and showed their darkest dedication the most lovable hostess of horror, Elvira.
