The 2016 Halloween season has certainly been one for the books. We have gotten together for Knott’s Scary Farm and Queen Mary, but we still have amazing events happening! One of them is the upcoming VIP event at the world famous Winchester Mystery House on Friday October 14th. This will be something remarkable and a truly haunting evening to remember.
Join HorrorBuzz for an elegant, macabre evening at one of America’s most haunted places. In a chilling and Gothic atmosphere, we will experience an all-new immersive tour by flickering candlelight and letting our imagination guide them through the storied 160-room Victorian mansion noted for its “activity.”
4:30 p.m. – Arrival – Meet & Greet in the Carriage House (non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, beer and light refreshments) – starting at 4:30 allows for late arrivals, ticketing, walking to garage, reception and then walking to house for BTS with Peter.
5:45 p.m. – Special Behind the Scenes Tour with Peter Overstreet – Candlelight Tours – I’m sure Peter can meet them in the garage and start tour there and continue into the house.
6:30 p.m. – Creepy Cocktails
Cocktails, wine, non-alcoholic beverages,and heavy appetizers in Greenhouse
7:13 p.m. – Candlelight tours begin
On this new guided tour, candlelight provides the only illumination through the bewildering maze of rooms, frozen in a state of arrested decay or still resplendent in Victorian grandeur. Although touches of festive Halloween abound, the atmosphere is heavy with foreboding as an unseen presence seems to be watching at all times.
8:30 p.m. – Sarah’s Etherial Reception
Themed desserts and coffee in the Winchester Room, plus Sarah’s Attic Shooting Gallery (5 tokens for each guest including more special surprises.
“During the candlelit visit some kind of paranormal force will definitely be awakened within the house, much to the shock of guests on the tour,” states Peter Overstreet, one of the successful directors at the Great Dickens Christmas Fair in San Francisco. “This all-new experience for guests to the Winchester Mystery House will be both a physical visit and a great example of ‘theater of the mind’ where your imagination is coerced to fill in the blanks to even more frightful effect.”
