James Caan thiller, The Waiting’s North American rights have been obtained by Vertical Entertainment which premiered at the 2016 SXSW Film Festival. The Waiting is Kasra Farahani’s feature film debt. James Caan, Logan Miller, Keir Gilchrist, Laura Innes, and Edwin Hodge star in this disturbing thriller. The film is set to premier theatrically in the fall of 2016. The film, which will be selling its international rights at Cannes, will be screened for interested buyers.
The Waiting follows two teenage boys as they devise a plan to put an experiment into play in there neighborhood. The subject they have chosen is an elderly man. As they go through their experiment, manipulating everything around the man, they soon discover they have picked the wrong man to mess with. What will happen to the boys? What will the elderly man do? I got chills crawling down my back just thinking about the things that could happen.
The film had such as successful screening at SXSW that the entertainment teams are excited to be able to bring this film to the United States Screens. Once it a has reached an United States audience, they hope it can resonate with the everyone at a global scale.
