MV5BMTkyODExMDgyNF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwOTcyNjk4NTE@._V1_SX214_AL_The dark, irreverent, and wickedly funny film “You’re Killing Me,” has been acquired by Wolfe Releasing with a plan for a 2016 spring time release schedule. Writer-director Jim Hansen’s LGBT comedy-horror film has been playing to film festivals throughout the country including NewfestHorrible Imaginings, and Outfest . The agreement gives Wolfe Releasing all worldwide rights to the film, and the company is planning a 2016 spring release on DVD, VOD, cable and additional digital platforms.

“You’re Killing Me” is a charming little movie about Joe (Matthew McKelligon), a young man who is struggling with a secret. Straightforward and otherwise mild mannered, nobody takes him seriously when he simply tells them he has the urge to be a serial killer. The film also stars Jeffery Self as George, a YouTube star whose method of communication is sarcasm and pitch-black irony. George begins dating Joe thinking everything is one big joke when Joe tells him point blank that he fancies murdering people.  Rounding out the comic cast are Drew Droege, Jack Plotnick, Mindy Cohn, Bryan Safi, and Shaughn Buchholz.

First reviewed here, we caught the flick at Outfests and were completely won over by its dry delivery and deadpan comic hijinks.

“You’re Killing Me” world premiered at 2015 Inside Out Toronto. The deal was negotiated by Stephens and Grant Derkac and Cullen Conly of ICM Partners.
