After it’s 2 year hiatus, the loss of one of it’s beloved cast members (RIP Dave Brockie lead singer of the rock band GWAR), and the loss of the amazing FEARnet Network… Holliston is arising from the grave returning for SEASON 3! Holliston is a horror sit-com that aired on FearNet about Adam Green (Hatchet, Frozen) and Joe Lynch (Everly, The Knights of Badassdom) pursue their dreams of becoming horror movie filmmakers by making “Shinpads” the trailer to their “Soccer Zombie Horror Movie”. The series follows them on their journey along with their friends Corri (Corri English) and Laura (Laura Ortiz), their boss Lance Rocket (Dee Snider), and Adam’s imaginary fiend Oderus Urungus (Dave Brockie).

Each episode is filled with hilarious horror movie references, cameos of  recognizable actors of the genre (ex. Sid Haig, Tony Todd, Danielle Harris, and many more), comedy, gore, heartfelt moments, and a lot of fun. It lived on FearNet for 2 grand seasons and now it will be returning in 2016 on the GeekNation Digital Network. The show is set for a full 10-episode order to premiere on GeekNation’s digital streaming network next summer. The episodes will be available to audiences all around the world on GeekNation’s website.

The series was developed, produced, and is owned by Green’s ArieScope Pictures (the Hatchet franchise, Digging Up The Marrow) who licensed the broadcast rights for the first two seasons to the FEARnet network. “Holliston never would have had a chance to exist if it were not for FEARnet,” says Green. “It was such a shame to see the network’s life cut short while they were still just getting started.”

When Season 2 was on the air, Adam and Joe began a podcast with the name from their Horror TV program on the show Holliston called “The Movie Crypt.” Each podcast features a guest from the film industry (ex. Kane Hodder, Tom Holland, Joe Dante, and many others) to discuss filmmaking and creating the art of movies. This is a great podcast to listen to on GeekNation to learn more on the craft from the experts themselves. But this past Christmas, the cast of Holliston gathered together and made a “radio play” special for the fans of both shows, many fans rejoiced to hear their favorite characters together again.

One thing that I truly admire Adam Green and Joe Lynch for is their ability to persevere through tragedy and to continue making films and The Movie Crypt episodes these difficult two years. I believe that Holliston will come back strong, even though we will miss Oderus emerging from Adam’s closet making sarcastic remarks, I think that the show will persevere through the sorrow and come out stronger.

It is a great sight to see Adam, Joe, Corri, and Laura together again holding scripts to Holliston season 3! I am excited to see what fiendish tricks they have up their sleeves!
